Yep, I only need to update Vbox on Windows 10 every few years not annually. Yeah, funny isn't it how they are able to predict what change in macOS will break their code one year from now? It's almost like they just refuse to run on a later OS on purpose to force you to upgrade. That is, parallels 17 would be compatible with macOS 11 and 12, so you would have to pony up each year if you intend to be up to date on macOS it would be probably be worthwhile to mention the option of buying “perpetual” licenses and updates. I think that each version is compatible with current macOS version and the following one (and maybe also some older ones). Updates are $50, so you could pay $100 for this version and $50 each year to upgrade. With an Annual fee, I'd prefer a price closer to $50. Parallels has worked fine on a two-year upgrade cycle, and I really dislike the idea of being forced into essentially doubling my cost for not really very much additional feature. I understand the need to update regularly VM software needs to keep up with changes in both host and guest OSes, but things don't change _that_ much every year.
